Visitors to Shriners Hospital
Visits from family and friends can make a hospital stay seem shorter and brighten a patient's day.
Daily visiting hours for those 14 years and older are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors may pick up a pass at the front lobby desk.
Sibling Visitors
Visits from children ages 3-14 are limited to the patient's brothers and sisters only. They may visit from
1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Children under three years of age are not permitted to visit the patient rooms.
Parent and Guardian Visitors
One parent or guardian may stay 24 hours per day. Parents staying overnight must first check with the nursing division or Care Coordination/Family Services if staying in Parent Housing.
Visitor's Regulations
- Only two visitors at a time are permitted for each patient. When two or more visitors are present, we ask that they take turns, using the visitor's lounge, outdoor patio, or main lobby between visits. A visiting brother or sister must be accompanied by one parent/legal guardian.
- Sibling visitors under 14 years of age must wear a visitor's pass at all times. Passes are available at the front lobby reception desk and are valid for one visit.
- Children in hospital are more susceptible to infections, thus a visitor with a cold or infection should wait until the condition has improved before visiting.
- Parents are not to leave the second floor (inpatient area) of the hospital without first notifying a nurse.
- Visitors who are disorderly or who do not observe hospital regulations will be escorted from the hospital by a security guard and refused subsequent visiting privileges.
- Alcoholic beverages, weapons, or illegal drugs are not permitted. Any visitor who brings these items to the hospital will be escorted out by a security guard and may be refused subsequent visiting privileges.
