Parents are encouraged to stay with their child during hospitalization. The hospital provides for one parent to remain at their child's bedside at all times. A convertible chair bed, bed linen, and shower facilities are available for the parent staying.

Bus Service

The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) buses run through Springfield Monday through Saturday. A bus stop is located in front of the hospital. Travelers can take a bus to the downtown area every 20 minutes and transfers to other buses are available for travel throughout the city.
