An interdisciplinary approach is used in patient care programs to ensure comprehensive care for each patient. The staff includes orthopaedists, pediatricians, nurses, therapists, social workers, child life specialists, and more.

The Shreveport Hospital is equipped and staffed to provide care for virtually all pediatric orthopaedic problems, with the exception of acute trauma. The hospital, however, has developed a special expertise in the following areas:

  • Amputations and limb deficiencies
  • Benign musculoskeletal tumors
  • Bone dysplasias, conditions due to abnormal development of the bone tissue

  • General pediatric orthopaedic conditions
