Besdside: We realize that your pressence during your child's stay is reassuring. Therefore, we encourage one parent/guardian to stay at their child's bedside. We provide a single cot or convertible chair, bed linen, and shower facilities for the parent staying. A parent lounge is also available for a second parent to stay on premises during their child's stay. Near Shriners: Airport: Holiday Inn - Airport/Financial Plaza (10 minutes from Shriners in Shreveport) Hotel/Casino: Horseshoe Hotel and Casino (5 minutes from Shriners in Shreveport) Isle of Capri Hotel and Casino Transportation Local transportation to and from the hospital is often provided by hospital volunteers. These gentlemen provide rides to and from airports, bus depots and train stations on weekdays. Arrangements can be made by calling the hospital's Care Coordination office at 318-226-4272. |
