Get Involved with the Hospital

Become a Shriners Hospital for Children Volunteer
At Shriners Hospitals for Children–Salt Lake City, volunteers play a big part in making the hospital such a special place. Some volunteers make a difference by working directly with patients while others work behind the scenes providing support to the staff. Regardless of the different capacities in which they serve, volunteers contribute to the same mission of providing the best possible pediatric orthopaedic care. All volunteers must complete a three-step application process.

For more information about becoming a volunteer contact either the Volunteer Coordinator Kathleen Euston at (801) 536-3711 or e-mail the volunteer office at jbiddiscombe@shrinenet.org.

Patient Ambassador Program or Shriners Hospitals for Children Alumni Association

Are you a former patient?  The parent of a former patient?  A former staff member?  If so, you are invited to participate in one or both of two new exciting programs at the Salt Lake City hospital.  E-mail mphillips@shrinenet.org for more information.

Group Giving
Shriners Hospitals for Children depends on people like you to complete our mission.  The hospital spends the bulk of its dollars on medical care, research and education. We rely on caring individuals and groups to provide the extras that often put a smile on a child’s face.  Please please visit the group giving page for community participation and special projects ideas.

In-Kind Donations
Thank you for considering donating to Shriners Hospitals. Donated items must be new to ensure the safety of our patients, who may have compromised immune systems. Please view our toy donations page for exampes of acceptable items.

Performances
Professional musicians, singers and performing arts groups are welcome to provide free entertainment for patients and their families.  While many groups and individuals choose to perform during the holiday season, performances are welcomed throughout the year. Athletes are also welcome to volunteer their time by visiting with the patients.
