The funds will help with the transportation of patients and families to the hospital.

Shriners Hospitals for Children—Mexico City is an 80-bed hospital offering state-of-the art facilities for orthopaedic and burn patients. The hospital staff sees more than 40,000 children annually, from all over Mexico. Some families travel from as far away as El Salvador and Colombia to receive the specialized care that is the hallmark of Shriners Hospitals.

John Cinotto, Chairman of the Donor Relations Committee for Shriners Hospitals and Past Supreme Chief Tlaloc, and Ralph Semb, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Shriners Hospitals for Children, were on hand for the presentation which took place at Shriners International Headquarters. “We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of Shrine Masons who go above and beyond to make sure families who need our care can come to our hospitals with one less worry,” said Semb.

The Order of Quetzalcoatl was founded in Mexico in 1945. It is a unique organization of Shrine Masons who have distinguished themselves in their service to the Shriners fraternity. Their charitable focus is the Shriners Hospitals transportation program, which helps off-set travel costs for the families of children receiving care at one of the 22 Shriners Hospitals located in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
