Expert Pediatric Orthopaedic Care
An interdisciplinary approach is used in patient care programs to ensure comprehensive care for each patient. The staff includes orthopaedists and pediatricians, as well as other medical specialists.
The Lexington hospital is equipped and staffed to provide care for virtually all pediatric orthopaedic problems, except acute trauma. These include:
- Cerebral palsy
- Clubfoot and other foot disorders
- Hand and upper extremity disorders
- Hip disorders
- Leg length discrepancies
- Limb deficiencies and amputations
- Metabolic bone disease
- Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI)
- Scoliosis and other spinal deformities
- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) and other rheumatic disorders
- Walking disorders
- Orthopedic conditions associated with:
- Neuromuscular disorders
- Spina bifida
- Congenital and developmental disorders
While we do not provide acute care for injuries, we do treat children who have experienced orthopaedic trauma who may need help dealing with long-term results of such injuries.
