Shriners Hospitals for Children® in the U.S. are accredited by The Joint Commission whose standards deal with hospital quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. 

Shriners Hospitals for Children® is committed to meeting The Joint Commission standards in all these areas. Shriners Hospitals for Children® has an open door policy. If the issue is not resolved by the hospital, you are always free to contact The Joint Commission directly to raise your concerns. In addition, the Lexington Shriners Hospitals for Children® will have unannounced surveys by The Joint Commission approximately every three years to assess their compliance to the standards.
