Accommodations and Transportation

At the Hospital

The hospital offers in-room sleeping for one parent. Parents may be sharing a room with another parent, so we ask that everyone respect the privacy of other patients and families.

Phones are available in each patient's room that parents can use to make collect, calling card and long distance calls. A pay phone is also located on the first floor of the hospital.

Self-service laundry area is available.

The care coordination department can assist families in securing accommodations at the nearby Ronald McDonald House or a local motel/hotel. The hospital will assist with transportation to the Ronald McDonald House or hotel.

Large screen televisions and computers with internet access are available for all parents in the KidZone area on the second floor.

The hotels and motels listed routinely accommodate families of children being treated at the Greenville Shriners Hospital, or individuals or groups visiting the hospital. Please inform the hotel/motel personnel that either your child is being treated at Shriners Hospital or that you are visiting Shriners Hospital.

Transportation

Transportation to Shriners Hospital in Greenville is usually available through any of the Shriners organizations located within the hospital's catchment area. Transportation can be arranged by calling the Shriners nearest the patient's home. The care coordination department at the hospital can help contacting local Shriners.

The hospital does not provide transportation for outpatients, but inpatients arriving in Greenville by air or bus can arrange for pick-up at the airport or bus station by contacting the care coordination department at (864) 255-7959.
