Shriners Hospitals for Children® in the U.S. are accredited by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission standards deal with hospital quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Shriners Hospitals for Children® is committed to meeting The Joint Commission standards in all these areas. Shriners Hospitals for Children® has an open door policy. If you have any questions, comments or concerns about care received at the hospital, please contact local hospital management. If the issue is not resolved by the hospital, you are always free to contact The Joint Commission directly to raise your concerns. In addition, hospitals will have unannounced surveys by the The Joint Commission to assess their compliance to the standards.
