Shriners Hospital Receives Magnet Recognition

(Cincinnati) Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati has been awarded Magnet™ Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
The Cincinnati hospital is the first within the Shriners Hospitals for Children health care system — and the only pediatric hospital in the greater Cincinnati area — to receive this honor.
Recognizing quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice, the Magnet™ Recognition Program provides consumers with the ultimate benchmark to measure the quality of care that they can expect to receive. Of more than 5,000 hospitals in the United States, only 275 have been awarded this recognition.
“For many years, we have felt that our nursing care is truly exceptional,” said Angie Allen-Jackson, RN, MHA, director of patient care services at the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital. “Receiving this award verifies that we deliver state of the art, quality nursing care to our patients everyday.”
